Welcome to the enjoyable
world of Egmont Alpacas

We live in a small, picturesque, coastal community at Onaero in Northern Taranaki, where we breed and sell alpacas from Top International Bloodlines, including Cambridge Encounter, Silverstream Faberge, and Patagonia's Maipo. These boys form part of Egmont Alpacas' stable of eleven stud males.

We love sharing our alpacas with the wider community, so have developed a tourist facility which caters for tour groups of between 15 - 100 people and also have a retail outlet on the premises. We feel it is important for people to see the wide array of products which can be made from luxurious alpaca fibre.

At Egmont Alpacas we always have an extensive range of alpacas for sale and find it  a privilege to assist clients choose their special animals.

We offer clients friendly, helpful advice on all matters pertaining to alpaca ownership, including farm setup, animal husbandry, pasture management, insurance, breeding and cria care.
